Interview with Lisa Noto

A few years ago, the former model dove into the world of cosmetics. Hello Lisa! Can you tell us a little bit about your journey with cosmetics and natural beauty care?

I’ve had an unusual journey. On the one hand, I’m an artist, trained in music, film, painting, and writing. But on the other hand, I have always been interested in health. Since I was a child, I have consistently prioritized physical activity and healthy nutrition. I had a big revelation in 2012 when I discovered natural cosmetics, and particularly natural makeup. During my 20+ years in the modelling industry, I was using a lot of products that aggravated my skin. So, I had the brilliant idea to sell products that are easy on your skin and healthy for your body. I didn’t have any training in business, but you could say I had the entrepreneurial spark from a young age. Growing up in a family of entrepreneurs, I could envision a possible path. And since I believed in non-toxic, non-synthetic skincare and cosmetic products, I went for it. This industry unites so many of my passions. And every day, I learn something new. That’s what’s important.

 

What inspires you to keep going?

I try to live by my company’s values: quality, respect for yourself, for others, and for the planet. Also, my commitment to well-being and holistic health. Also, my team and Moringa oil!

What is the main obstacle you’ve had to overcome?

When you’re discovering a new field, you encounter constant obstacles. It’s inevitable. But these are all lessons. And I’ve had lots. The main challenge is to not give up, despite the problems that can sometimes seem immense. With time, we come to realize that everything is relative and there is always a solution to our problems. It’s the whole experience that gives the awareness we need to transcend our obstacles.

 

What is your hope for the future?

To continue to sell my products and grow my company in a way that inspires my team and keeps my customers coming back. In the long-term, I dream of painting beautiful, colourful subjects in a cottage by the lake, and having my children and grandchildren visit.

What is your daily mantra?

I am alive. I’m making the best of every day. And aren’t I the lucky one?
